Vincent Zandri's Moonlight Weeps Receives 2015 Shamus Award

ALBANY, N.Y. - Oct. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- The Private Eye Writers of America (PWA) announced the 2015 Shamus winners at the annual Bouchercon event held in Raleigh, NC, from October 8 through 11. The PWA is a professional organization for writers, publishers and fans with an eye toward ensuring the P.I. genre continues to prosper and grow.

The winner of this year’s Best Original Paperback P.I. Novel was Albany resident Vincent Zandri’s Moonlight Weeps published by Down & Out Books.

Zandri said, “Having recently won the ITW (International Thriller Writers) Thriller Award for Best Paperback Original, I really didn’t think I’d be blessed to win the Shamus as well. I was excited to have been a finalist and am now overwhelmed with gratitude to be in such great company.”

Moonlight Weeps is a fast-paced, grizzly thriller in the Dick Moonlight series by Zandri, who is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, offering readers plenty of wry humor, bullets, car chases, and Scarface references. The Moonlight thrillers are based in Albany and feature much of the city’s historic and familiar settings.

This is the 34th year that the PWA has issued Shamus Awards.
