Inauguration of Sterlite Trophy 2015 - State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament

TUTICORIN, India - Oct. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper in association with Thoothukudi Basketball Association (TDBA) is organizing “Sterlite Trophy 2015 (State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament)” between October 14 and October 18, 2015 at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium), Thoothukudi. 14 teams of leading colleges across Tamil Nadu are participating in this tournament.

The tournament was jointly inaugurated by Mr P Ramnath, Chief Executive Officer, Sterlite Copper and Dr P Arun Sakthi Kumar IPS, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Thoothukudi on October 14, 2015 at SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium), Thoothukudi.

Mr P Ramnath, Chief Executive Officer said that Sterlite Copper has been rendering timely support to encourage sports among youth in Thoothukudi including infrastructure development in SDAT (Tharuvai Stadium) and asked the players to continuously improve their skills in sports. Dr P Arun Sakthi Kumar, IPS said ‘Participation is more important than winning’.

Mr Theerthose, Thoothukudi District Sports Officer, Mr VVD Bremanandam, President, TDBA and TDBA Officials were present during the occasion.
