Harvest, Hops & Hounds is a cooperative effort to raise funds for the Santa Cruz Animal Shelter and have a delicious farm to table dinner with local delicacies, local wine and beer, foot tapping tunes and be able to bring your best friend.

Coastal Dog Owners Group is well known for putting on fun dog events and Living with Dogs, a local dog training center are collaborating on the event with a team of dedicated, community spirited volunteers.

Monies raised will benefit the Humane Education Fund at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter. The After School program and the Door to Door program are some of the humane education efforts of shelter program. The Door to Door program involves visiting under served people with animals and helping them out with food, collars & leashes, supplies, medications, and helpful advice for things like house training and basic training. The shelter's van needs to be replaced and a new van would make the visits easier and safer for the shelter staff.
