RENO, Nev. - Oct. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Smart Energy and the Fight against Climate Change are increasingly interrelated. Smart Energy Universe (SEU) is in the forefront of reporting on Smart energy and Climate Change. Millions of readers worldwide have come to rely on our smart energy reporting.

Each week Smart Energy Universe (SEU) publishes the results of the “Question of the Week.” The Question of the Week relates to a leading news item of that week. Recent SEU’s “Question of the Week’ has delved into the probability of success at the COP-21 Conference, US oil exports, and subsidies for Renewables.

The Emission Trading System (ETS) has been making headlines. The Chinese President, during his recent visit to the U.S., disclosed that China plans to implement ETS as part of its strategy to combat Climate Change. The European Union has just revised its ETS plan.

Last week the Smart Energy Universe Question was about whether the Emission Trading System will be effective in combating Climate Change.

Almost 2000 smart energy professionals participated in the online survey. The majority of respondents (70.8%) said that ETS is not the appropriate vehicle for combating climate change while a third supported ETS as a tool for combating climate change.

Over 100 respondents also submitted incisive comments expanding on their responses to the question.
