Thought Leader Select Continues Upward Momentum, Adds Four to Team

DURHAM, N.C. - Oct. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Rapidly growing healthcare consulting firm and leading global KOL profiler, Thought Leader Select (http://www.thoughtleaderselect.com/), is further expanding its team to deepen its research well and provide greater client support. The Triangle-based firm works with over half of the world's top 50 pharmaceutical and healthcare companies to optimize key opinion leader (KOL) relationships and ensure these collaborations are justified for the ultimate purpose of improving public health.

New to Thought Leader Select is Senior Research Associate, Virginia Kocieda, whose role will be centered on the KOL identification process. With a Ph.D. from Temple University's School of Medicine, Virginia also brings insight from her research fellowships with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Another key addition to the team is Senior Research Associate, Sabrina Pillai. Sabrina's role with Thought Leader Select will focus primarily on the process of identifying KOLs. Sabrina earned both a BS in Public Health/Psychology and a Master of Public Health specializing in Epidemiology from Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.

Also among those welcomed aboard is Senior Director of Research Projects, Aaron Portmann. Prior to joining the firm, Aaron led clinical research projects at top contract research organization, Quintiles, after spending 12 years in clinical research leadership roles at various pharmaceutical companies, as well as in medicine. Aaron earned a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine.

Rounding out the new additions is Marie-Josee Martin, appointed Director of Research Projects. Before signing on with Thought Leader Select, Martin served as President of Sunergia Management, a consulting firm based in Montreal, Quebec where she worked closely with KOLs in the development, implementation and management of key projects with pharmaceutical companies. Marie-Josee spent the decade prior with Merck Canada, serving in roles that included Group Manager in Health Education and Manager in Medical Affairs supporting the CV franchise.

“We are thrilled to add people of Aaron, Marie-Josee, Virginia and Sabrina's caliber – and in turn, boost the research firepower of our team and accelerate our continued growth,” said Skip Fernandes, Senior Director of Research Operations at Thought Leader Select. "Maintaining our client-centered focus is not only about bringing in more people, but also about bringing in strong professionals whose skills and experience complement an already-strong team supporting the work of our consulting group.”

"This has truly been a landmark year for us, and we're honoring the trust that clients have placed in us by adding more people to do great work for them," said Paul Meade, President of Thought Leader Select. "We place high standards of excellence on ourselves, and we know these additions will make immediate contributions as they collaborate with our clients to make a positive impact on the lives of patients worldwide.”
