Newest Show in Branson MO said to be one of the Best

BRANSON, Mo. - Oct. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The Newest Show in Branson MO is said to be one of the very best!  The Tellin' Tales Comedy Tour, a Nationally touring comedy show has decided to "put down roots" in Branson MO for atleast part of the time.  Since the tour began in January the show has visited approximately 15 states to rave reviews.  Made up of former WCW Professional Wrestler, star of the recent award winning movie GreasePaint, star of the new soon to be released series Funny Business Joey Thurmond who's other projects include the movies Dumb and Dumberer and Remember the Titans as well as a role in the 2013 music video for the Grammy Award Winning Zac Brown Band for the song "Goodbye In Her Eyes".  Thurmond is also a retired multi-decorated police officer.  Joining Thurmond in comedy is Dan Whitehurst who is also a retired multi-decorated police officer with entertaining credits like; regular appearances on ABC's series Nashville, a star in the new Comedy-Horror movie Black Holler, a regular performer at fantastic comedy clubs all across the country, and was awarded the title World's Funniest Cop.

"The show features Clean, Southern Style, Story Telling style comedy", says Thurmond.  "I grew up listening to great story tellers like Jerry Clower and Andy Griffith and that's the style I enjoy".  The fans must also enjoy the same style of comedy as the reviews of the shows have included quotes like "The funniest men I have seen in a long time", "We laughed so hard that we were not only crying but,my sides were literally sore after the show."

"It's important for us to be able to provide a comedy experience that everyone can enjoy", said Whitehurst.  With Tales and Yarns from professional wrestling, policing, to Christian comedy, these two funny men are etching a place into the hearts of Americans.

The show has found a home at the Crystal Theatre in the Lodge of the Ozarks in the heart of the strip in Branson MO!  As the show opens to lights and lazers and fantastic production the stars of the show Dan and Joey are introduced and appear on stage in front of a modest set that includes a couple of used tires, a windmill, an old toilet and other "high cost" items according to the two as they greet the audience.  After only a few short moments it's obvious that these two are the uncles and cousins that everyone wants to be around at family reunions.  With their southern accents and charms they win the audiences over ever so easily as the stories simply flow from their persona.

While other tour dates are still being made the two have decided that bringing a comedy only show to the music show capitol of the world, Branson MO is a very positive move.  "We have a fantastic show for the patriotic, hard working, American and hope to call Branson home for a long time" said Thurmond.

Branson has welcomed the show with open arms with other performers attending shows and offering guest star appearances etc.  The Mayor of Branson Karen Best along with others like the first family of Branson the Mabe's of the Baldknobbers Jamboree, Comedy collegue James Sibley from the Pierce Arrow Show, and even country music legend Mickey Gilley have went above and beyond to make Joey and Dan feel at home in the heart of the Ozarks.
