NAWBO-Sacramento Reveals 2015 “Wind Beneath Our Wings” Recipient, Kate Renwick-Espinosa
KFBK’s radio personality Kitty O’Neal, will MC the OWL Awards that will celebrate key women business owners who have excelled as entrepreneurs and community leaders.
NAWBO - Sacramento will present the “Wind Beneath Our Wings Award” to recipient Kate Renwick-Espinosa.
Renwick-Espinosa has served assenior vice president andchief marketing officer for VSP Global for the past five yearsand has worked for VSP for more than 23 years.On October 1, 2015, she will begin her new role as President of VSP Vision Care.
During her time at VSP, Kate’s marketing strategies have resulted in historic domestic membership growth and the international expansion of VSP’s offerings. She has been instrumental in expanding the role of marketing within the company, including rebranding multiple lines of business, developing new brands, launching new products, entering the online marketplace, and leveraging digital technology.
Renwick-Espinosa was named one of Vision Monday’s “Most Influential Women in Optical” in 2005 and was a 2013 recipient of the “Most Powerful and Influential Women Award” from the California Diversity Council. She serves on the board of the Optical Women’s Association and co-chairs its mentoring committee. She also serves on the board of Prevent Blindness, the nation’s oldest volunteer eye health and safety organization.
