Houston Safari Club Provides Support for Conservation Force

By: Houston Safari Club

HOUSTON - Sept. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Houston, TX – Houston Safari Club (HSC) has continued its support of Conservation Force with a grant renewal of $25,000. HSC is one of the founding supporters of Conservation Force, and has provided funding since 1997.

Conservation Force is a charitable foundation dedicated to the conservation of wildlife, wild places and the outdoor way of life. Conservation Force stands for three forces. First, hunters and anglers are an indispensable and essential force for wildlife conservation. See Conservation Force’s most recent C-Span response to the attack on big game hunting at http:/www.c-span.org/video/?327491-5/washington-journal-john-jackson-big-game-hunting. Second, Conservation Force is a collaborative effort combining forces of a consortium of organizations and, third, Conservation Force itself is a proactive force to be reckoned with because of its record of conservation successes.

"HSC has been supporting Conservation Force for 18 years. Together, as a combined force, we have achieved immeasurable advocacy, education and conservation that neither organization could do alone,” stated John Jackson, President, Conservation Force. “But for HSC, Conservation Force may not exist today and certainly the image of hunters, their rights and important wildlife would be far less. Believe me, together, we are effectively fighting for your way of life."

“Houston Safari Club is proud to sponsor Conservation Force and their mission of being a force for wildlife, wild places, and a way of life,” said HSC Grants Committee Chairman JD Burrows.  “Current world events have highlighted how the events of a few can put in jeopardy all the hard work we do to conserve and protect precious wildlife.  This year, Houston Safari Club has recommitted our dedication to Conservation Force with a substantial grant that will be used in support of our organizations parallel missions of conservation, hunters’ education and protection of hunters’ rights”, Burrows concluded.
