America SCORES National Board Of Directors Elects Four Members

 
WASHINGTON - Sept. 24, 2015 - PRLog -- New York City – September 24, 2015 – The national board of directors of America SCORES (http://www.americascores.org/), a national after school program, announced on Thursday the election of four new members, effective September 17, 2015. Sue Devine of The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) (http://www.ascap.com/), Peter Loge of the U.S. Institute of Peace (http://www.usip.org/), Cy Richardson of the National Urban League (NUL) (http://nul.iamempowered.com/), and Devin Talbott of Enlightenment Capital (http://www.enlightencap.com/) all join on three-year terms. They have been elected to help lead America SCORES into a new era of growth and sustainability.

"Sue, Peter, Cy, and Devin’s years of leading complex organizations will provide new and important perspectives to the Board as we continue to build America SCORES, said Benjamin Chrnelich, chair of the national board. “We are excited they have chosen to dedicate their time to be part of the SCORES family.”

Devine is the Senior Director of Film & Television Music in ASCAP’s Creative Services Department. She has worked with both emerging and well established artists in ASCAP’s Film/TV and Pop/Rock Departments. She also produces seminars, showcases, workshops and other events for ASCAP songwriters, producers and film composers. She developed and leads the ASCAP Songwriter Residency (http://www.ascap.com/eventsawards/events/songwriter-resid...) partnership with SCORES, which releases its sixth album of student-written songs on September 25, 2015.

Prior to joining the U.S. Institute of Peace as the vice president for external relations in September 2013, Loge founded the legislative strategy firm Milo Public Affairs and worked at M+R Strategic Services, a national public affairs and political consulting firm. Loge has extensive experience in communications and political strategy through positions in many congressional administrations. He has worked with the flagship program of America SCORES, DC SCORES (http://www.americascores.org/affiliates/dc), for many years, serving as the chairman of the board between 2000 and 2005.

Richardson is the Senior Vice President of Economics and Housing Programs at the NUL. Prior to joining in 2002, he worked in various positions in New York City government including as a researcher with the New York City Council, with the New York State Legislature on economic policy issues and as a Land Use Planner for the Brooklyn Borough President. He also conducts basic and applied research broadly related to building wealth in communities of color.

Talbott is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Enlightenment Capital. Prior, he was with D. E. Shaw and TCG Financial Partners, a merchant bank founded by former Defense Secretary William Cohen. Talbott co-founded GenerationEngage, is on the advisory board of Engine, was named to M&A Advisor's "40 Under 40," and is a member of the New York State Bar. His op-eds have appeared in the Washington Post, the Washington Times, Politico, the Washington Examiner, Capitol File, and the San Jose Mercury News. Devin has also been involved with SCORES through numerous DC SCORES Cup (http://dcscorescup.org/) teams.
