This years NBA Fan of the Year Winner is Patrick Battillo better known as "MR ORNG." He's been a diehard Phoenix Suns fan for 21 years. Basketball is a huge part of his life, he believes strongly in the positive messages team work and working collectively to accomplish something together. Additionally he's an extremely active community servant. We caught up to him after winning his historic award to ask him a few questions about the win, here are his answers.

You're now part of the historic foundation of the worlds only recognition award show for sports fans. What does that mean to you?

MR ORNG; It means more than words can describe to be a part of this foundation. I take a lot of pride in this award and will be sure to always represent myself, the foundation and fans worldwide with world class sportsmanship, integrity and respect, As a member of this foundation, I now serve as an ambassador for all sports fans worldwide and take that responsibility very seriously. It is a true honor and I feel extremely blessed to now be a part of history.

How did you feel when you found out you had won the What A Fan Awards for your years of devotion to a sport and team you love?

MR ORNG; Humbled. That is the one word I would use to sum up my many emotions following the notification. I truly feel that I live a blessed life and this is another example of that. When I first heard that I was nominated, I was so grateful that I was being recognized for doing what I loved and sharing my passion with others throughout sports and the community. Each time I attend a game or an event in the community I still receive that feeling of excitement and joy as I get ready knowing that I get to do something I love and bring a smile to the face of others. From the moment I walk out of the home until I return home, it is such and exhilarating feeling every time I interact with someone. To receive the NBA Fan of the Year What A Fan Award for doing what I love so much is truly a blessing and I am extremely humbled. I would like to thank all of the Phoenix Suns community and fan base for their never ending support. The city of Phoenix and the state of Arizona are very special to me and the community holds a dear place in my heart and this award is a reflection of OUR city and state. This award is for all of us! Go Suns!!!
