An indie-rock band from Atlanta, Georgia, Manchester Orchestra has produced five albums since their debut in 2004. In 2007, Manchester Orchestra opened for Brand New on their largely sold out tour and quickly picked up steam. In 2009, they found themselves working on their album “Mean Everything to Nothing” with 8-time Grammy-winning producer Joe Chiccarelli, who is known for his producing work with My Morning Jacket, The Strokes, Elton John, Tori Amos, and his engineering work with Frank Zappa, and the White Stripes. Manchester Orchestra’s songs have been featured in the famed television series Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill and Skins. They have also performed on Late Night shows with Jimmy Fallon, Conan O’Brien and David Letterman. Currently on tour with their album COPE, and its companion piece HOPE, the band members include guitarist/singer/ In discussing their current album, Hull said, “It was really the most hands-on I’ve ever been. I’m more proud of it than any record we’ve done before. Of course, as soon as this one is out, I’m gonna start thinking about how we can make the next one better.” Elle King ─ who was proclaimed by New York Magazine as “one of the 10 female acts that will dominate SXSW” ─ will open this year’s closing night concert and take the stage at 7 p.m. King’s current full-length album “Love Stuff” was released to great reviews in early 2015 and was rated the highest new artist entry on Billboard. King’s sultry pipes draw upon country, soul, folk, rock, and blues, while her “catchy and clever” lyrics keep you on the edge of your seat. This year marks the 5th annual rungevity Rock n’ Roll St. Louis 1/2 Marathon presented by the Quinn Family Foundation. The Health and Fitness Expo will kick off the weekend and local musicians will be featured throughout the half marathon on race day. The weekend will close with the concert at The Old Rock House: 1200 S 7th St, St. Louis, MO 63104. Over the past four years, rungevity has raised over 4 million dollars for local children charities and all proceeds from the concert will benefit TASK, Our Little Haven and Unlimited Play charities of St. Louis.
