American Paper & Twine Co. Announces The Teacher of the Week - Week Five of the 2015 Titans Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., Titans Radio and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers announced Dr. Nikki Manning from Mooresburg Elementary School, in Mooreseburg, TN was selected as Teacher of the Week for week five of the Tennessee Titans 2015 football season.

“We just can’t say enough about the dedication and hard work that teachers put in all year long,” said Lonnie Spivak, eCommerce and Marketing Manager at American Paper & Twine. “We take a great deal of pride in being able to honor teachers such as Dr. Manning year-after-year, and we are happy to be able to present her with this.”

Dr. Manning was nominated by her principal Rhonda Walker who said, “Dr. Manning always has the heart of Mooresburg School in mind. She is a team player who is always there to help her colleagues.” Mrs. Walker continued, “She has presented at the Title I conference, served on several textbook committees, and always has the students' interests in mind for her lessons which are well planned out. Her students are engaged, and she has high expectations for all students, and she does my job when I cannot be there. Dr. Manning likes things on the cutting edge. She isn't afraid to try new things, to motivate and to engage her students. She is an awesome teacher, and we are very proud of her.”

Each home game during the Titans’ season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced for every Tennessee Titans home game and at the end of the season a ‘Teacher of the Year’ is selected from the Teacher of the Week winners. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a deluxe gift basket of school supplies and tickets to the December 27th game vs. the Houston Texans.
