PRLog -- Anaheim, CA - Sol-Up USA, a Las Vegas-based solar panel company, was honored on September 14 as being one of the top 500 solar contractors in the world. The 2015 Top Solar Contractors gala boasted 350 solar professionals who represented more than 110 solar installation and development companies, recognizing solar contractors on the Solar Power World Top 500 Solar Contractors list for their industry determination and contribution.
Held at the Hilton Anaheim, the gala featured several different categories of awards, networking events, and dinner. President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), Rhone Resch remarked on the importance of extending the Solar Investment Tax Credit, which is set to expire at the end of this year.
At the Gala, philanthropic awards were given on behalf of the Brian D. Robertson Solar Schools Memorial Fund Award, which recognizes installers that have carried on Brian’s legacy of education and advocacy for solar energy. Robertson tragically died in a plane crash on December 22, 2011.
“Everyone at this conference knows solar is a good solution for everyone but not everyone has the money to make it happen in their neighborhood,”
Brooke Robertson, one of three children from former Amonix CEO Brian Robertson, told attendees. “Therefore, it is necessary for the solar industry to give back. Many solar companies are very good at giving back and tonight we have the privilege to acknowledge them.”
