ANAHEIM, Calif. - Sept. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- A riverboat tour in Pennsylvania needed to know why the number of visitors to its fleet had waned one summer, cutting into revenue.

A group of funeral homes in New York wanted to ensure the business was in compliance with industry regulations.

A national health care provider sought to streamline and simplify its presentations to potential customers, making it easier to apply for services.

Mystery shopping had a significant role in creating positive results in all of these instances.

“Think of a brand, think of a business, and chances are mystery shoppers are in there making a difference every day,” said Rich Bradley, President of MSPA North America, the trade association representing the customer experience management and measurement industry.

Mystery shoppers and anyone interested in learning more about mystery shopping will have an opportunity to participate in an educational networking event during the three-day MSPA ShopperFest 2015 on October 16-18 at the Embassy Suites Hotel Anaheim – North in Anaheim, California.

MSPA ShopperFest 2015 enables mystery shoppers, media and the general public to meet with mystery shopping providers and hear first-hand accounts on how to make a business successful.

On Friday, October 16, an open Q&A session will be held for the media and general public. The free one-hour Mystery Shopping 101 event will include a candid discussion on the industry.

MSPA-NA University courses also will return to ShopperFest. Shoppers will have a chance to gain certifications in the areas of video shopping, writing and ethics.

The list of featured speakers during ShopperFest includes a diverse and experienced group:

·         Rich Bradley, Todd Persons Communications, MSPA-NA President

·         David Hartley, Elite Shopper Force

·         Mike Mershimer, HS Brands International

·         Doug Rector, Northwest Loss Prevention Consultants

·         Adrienne Dobson, Customer Impact

·         Stan Hart, Alta360 Research, Inc

·         Jason Bare, BARE International

“Mystery shopping is an industry that has been in existence since the 1940s,” said Bradley, who initially became a mystery shopper in 1995 and joined the MSPA-NA board four years ago. “In the industry, there are between 35,000 to 50,000 shops a day. People might not realize there are thousands of shops going on involving hundreds of companies, not only in the United States, but throughout the world.”

To book a hotel room for ShopperFest 2015, call 1-800-445-8676 and ask for group code MSP. Special rates are available for a limited time.
