Independent Sci-Fi Mini-Series, 'Sons of God', Set to Premiere For The New Year

GERMANTOWN, Md. - Sept. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- With a passion for film spanning over 27 years, creator of the major 2012 production Trident, Leonardo Sanderson (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm4726556/) has created his first sci-fi web series, 'Sons of God'. The series has been in the making since 2009.

The series, which is set to debut this New Year is an all-new concept. The story closely compares to ABC’s ‘Once Upon A Time’ (http://abc.go.com/shows/once-upon-a-time), as it marries several fairy tale characters by combining Norse, Greek, and Roman Mythology all-in-one. The series follows seven chosen characters as they battle Lucifer as the fate of the earth hangs in the balance – all taking place in present day.

Sanderson is enthusiastic about its potential and eagerly anticipates its distribution explaining, “Sons of God is something that is near and dear to me and it has been a long time coming. I’m sorry that something like this hasn’t happened before, but I’m grateful to be the one to make it happen.”

The science-fiction fantasy web series will be premiering for the New Year and can be watched online at www.sogwebseries.com. The series launch compliment's that of the fall season's lineup. Sanderson hopes that his series will appeal to ‘Once Upon a Time’ viewersand will attempt to appeal to that audience in an effort to attract fans of this popular ABC TV show.

The film stars Jose Maysonet of the cable series “Surviving the Undead”, Blake Kennedy, Anthony Vaccarella, Ariel De Ment, Vanessa Noel, and Marie Hilaire. Stephen Villabrera is the executive producer and December Dawn is the director of photography.

The creators are hoping to attract fans who love fantasy genres like ‘Once Upon a Time’ who enjoy their childhood favorites – in addition to vampires and werewolves. Many mythological creatures will come into the series, which gives fans a storyline unlike any other.

“It has something for everyone; action, drama, fantastic battles, women and men doing martial arts, it has too much for someone not to be interested,” adds Jose Maysonet, who is one of the stars of ‘Sons of God’.

Starting off as a stage actor, Leonardo Sanderson has been working in the film industry for over a decade. He eventually worked his way up to being a film director. After a few music videos and small scale projects, Sanderson completed his first major production 'Trident' in 2012. He established Chaotic Calm Productions in 2006 and hit the ground running since.
