Winter Makes No Difference to the Bugs

WICHITA FALLS, Texas - Sept. 15, 2015 - PRLog -- Wichita Falls, Texas: “Christmas is coming, and that means one thing in the pest management business”, says Kevin Brasket, President of Texoma Pest Management of Wichita Falls Texas.  He continued, “many people think there will be a slowdown in their pest problems, but winter only puts many of pests into hiding, and with the weather we had last summer, we are going to experience greater infestations with some of the other pests.”

Each year, the National Pest Management Association (NPMA) in Airfax, VA, publishes its Bug Barometer, a measure of what will happen to bug infestations during the winter across the United States.  This year, for the Wichita Falls Texas area, they predict an significant upswing termites, mice and rats that Kevin Brasket states, “affect us all year long, but are now going to hit us even harder this winter.”

In Texas, pests cost the economy millions of dollars each year and present a significant health risk to businesses, customers, and homes and families.  Kevin Brasket stated, “Pests do not take a rest.  Some may slow down, and others go into hiding, possibly in the walls of your business or home, and others like termites, mice and rats are expected to increase their activities this winter, which will affect us all.”
