Southern Demolition assists Georgia Depart of Defense and Atl Police with Atlanta's War on Blight

Atlanta, GA – Locally owned Southern Demolition and Environmental assisted the State of Georgia removing severely blighted properties on and around the English Avenue neighborhood.  The properties slid into blight due to mismanagement from outside investors and allowed to become a haven for drugs and crime.

The Georgia National Guard Counterdrug Task Force relied on the experience, knowledge, and experience of Southern Demolition and Environmental to ensure that the program was in compliance with all municipal and environmental permitting, as well as ensuring each lot was stabilized and graded appropriately.  A total of 15 blighted properties were recovered, and an estimated 14 alleged heroin dealers were removed.

Local news was on hand during the completion of the project on 11 September, 2015.
