MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. - Sept. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Did you know?...

The average American throws away four pounds of garbage every day?

One rechargeable battery is equal to 500 disposable ones?

That aluminum is one of the most sustainable materials with nearly 75% of it still in use from the 1900s when it was first introduced?

September 14, 2015 – MUSCLE SHOALS, AL – Award winning eco-icon Steve Trash (http://www.stevetrash.com/) entertains his audiences with garbage, but his doesn’t stink! He has found a way to create thought provoking messages that inspire change using music, magic, and humor.

Although he’s entertained more than 25 million people, been featured on CBS, ESPN, CNBC, HLN, VH1, and written about in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, CBS Marketwatch, Film Threat, Moviemaker Magazine, Alabama Business Magazine, and Boxing News, his greatest accomplishment can be found in his new CD, The Green Album, which launches October 1 on Amazon, iTunes, and CD Baby.

Featuring tracks like “Green Lightning”, “Chateau Debris”, and Ecology is EcoLOGICAL, Mr. Trash recorded the album in the music mecca of Muscle Shoals, AL at the famed NuttHouse Recording Studio and either has well known musicians performing on it or singing its praises.

One of them is Chuck Leavell, keyboardist for the Rolling Stones and co-founder of Mother Nature Network (http://www.mnn.com), who says “A wild, wacky and wonderful eco-trip, Mr. Trash has put it (The Green Album) all together with cool grooves, clever arrangements and fun, positive messages.”

Mr. Trash is not your average entertainer. He’s a fountain of knowledge about all things green, won the Environmental Educator of the Year by the EEAA - Environmental Education Association of Alabama in 2011, is a founding board member of Keep the Shoals Beautiful, and is a lifetime member of the EEAA among many other environmental accolades.

He says the making of the album meant that he got to blend his two passions, and hang out in a recording studio with amazing musicians making music they all really liked.

“I’m passionate about getting my eco-message out to the whole world,” Mr. Trash says.  “I discovered a long time ago that some people don’t like magic tricks or others don’t like silly jokes, but they love really great music… so I surrounded myself with top-notch musical talent and we created this album for THOSE folks.”
