How Banana Pudding & Chicken Dumplings are Saving Unwanted Pets Lives

Bundle Pack of Dog Biscuits Purchased Provides Donation to Local Pet Rescue

OLD HICKORY, Tenn. - Sept. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- Southern Paw Kitchen preheated their oven and started their online pet treat business in May 2015.  The start up was inspired by the owner's two rescue terriers, Tickle and Speck.

"I really enjoy giving my dogs all natural treats, that I bake myself," said Leslie Mayo, owner of Southern Paw Kitchen.  "After giving a few to my friends, they encouraged me to start a pet bakery business."

Leslie has a heart for rescues and caring for the unloved animals cast aside.  It also runs in her family.  Her cousin-in-law, Randy Given, was notorius for bringing home just about any homeless dog or cat he found. His wife, Kim Given, was very compassionate and understanding as well.

Leslie, through Southern Paw Kitchen, wants to honor both Randy (who recently passed away from cancer) and Proverbs 12:10 (where she adopted both Tickle and Speck), by donating $5.00 for each Randy's Sunday Potluck to Proverbs 12:10.  Randy's Sunday Potluck is a bundle of her best southern cuisine-inspired dog biscuits:  banana pudding, turkey & dressing, chicken & dumpling, and cornbread beef stew.
