New York - Noted fashion designers Ann Nahari and TeriLynK have announced plans for a fashion show to introduce new designs for brides on their wedding night. The new designs focus on sexy, attractive wear for plus size brides.

The fashion show will be part of New York City's Bridal Fashion Week and held at 1315 Event Place on Sunday October 11, 2015.

The new designs include opulent bridal lingerie and delicate ultra feminine lounge pieces for the honeymoon trousseau -- all in popular plus sizes.

In an age when Hollywood actresses are usually tiny, the average American woman is size 12 with size 14 and larger the fastest growing consumer group.

"Everyone fusses about the bridal dress turning the most humble brides into grotesque bridezillas. But what about the bridal night? Especially for the curvy bride," said Sumiyyah Rasheed, who is producing the fashion show.

Before embarking on the designs, the team did an informal survey of plus size brides-to-be who revealed the lingerie gifts they received at bachelorette parties were clothing they could never wear. Most said they would be forced to wear flimsy, uncomfortable lingerie on their wedding night - keeping their pose at the bedroom door or risk coming unhinged.

"TerilyK and Ann Nahari are teaming up to showcase the ultimate in exquisite lingerie that fits while making the woman look and feel confident," Rasheed said.

The fashion show will be held at 1315 Event Place located at 15 W.28th Street, 8th Floor in New York, NY. The designers will be present for media interviews.
