Charlotte, NC Local Stylist To Participate In New York Fashion Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- CHARLOTTE, NC,  Sala Johnson, owner of Salon Salas on the Avenue will join international fashion designers show casing her Catsuit Collection to buyers, the press and the general public.

Sala’s Catsuit Collection was created to support the professional woman who is interested in edge, style and easy comfort caught the attention of Tiffany McCall of Tiffany McCall Couture who created the Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris Competition.

On Monday, September 14, Sala J will showcase six designs in the New York Fashion Week Catwalk Show at the Plaza Hotel.   “It’s funny that I've always had the passion to be a designer, but never really pressed into making it happen, until two years ago.  My first love is hair.   I'm really excited about this opportunity!   I never dreamed anything like this would ever happen for me!   I am still processing it, said Ms. Johnson.     A scout saw my Facebook page and sent me a message asking if I would like to participate.   I was like-.is this real?   I would soon find out that it was oh so real!    I will be one of 15 designers from all over the world participating.   And, Ms. McCall has asked me about participating in the Paris Fashion Week.   I see this as an opportunity from God to position me for my future as a professional designer.    I'm excited about networking with other designers and being in the city during this awesome time.”

Tiffany McCall of Tiffany McCall Couture created Tiffany’s Fashion Week Paris Competition in 2013.  In efforts to provide a platform and voice for young and established Designers and Artists from around the world in Paris.  After 10 years in the European and International Fashion world, a gap in the market was noticed and needed to be fulfilled with this event to nurture and promote young and established talent.   This will be her first appearance in New York.
