Nine from Godwin Lewis Earn Spots on 2015 Texas Super Lawyers List

Godwin and Marilea Lewis, along with seven additional attorneys from its Dallas and Houston offices, are being honored on the 2015 Texas Super Lawyers list of Texas' top attorneys.

2015 marks the 13^th consecutive Texas Super Lawyers selection for Mr. Godwin, whose Business Litigation practice has been recognized each year since the publication’s 2003 inaugural edition. He also earned additional honors this year with his 7th selection to the list of the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Texas and his 11th selection to the Top 100 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Board certified in Civil Trial Law, Mr. Godwin has also won recognition among the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America, in Chambers USA, the American City Business Journals’ Who’s Who in Energy listing and The Best Lawyers in America among others.

This is the fourth Super Lawyers selection for Ms. Lewis, Executive Vice President of the firm, and Chair of the Godwin Lewis Family Law Litigation and Arbitration/Mediation Practice Groups. Her mediation expertise also helped her earn recognition for the second consecutive year among the Top 50 female Super Lawyers in Texas, and Top 100 in Dallas-Fort Worth.

A former District Court judge, and board certified in family law, Ms. Lewis is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and is a mediator in both general and family practice. In addition to her Super Lawyers honors, she has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America for five years running and is a 3-time recipient of Best Lawyers in Dallas honors from D Magazine.

Joining Mr. Godwin with a 13^th consecutive selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list is firm President, R. Alan York, who practices in the firm’s Houston office. Board certified in Appellate law, his strength in that area also helped garner Mr. York his third consecutive selection among the Top 100 Super Lawyers in Houston.

Earning selection to the Texas Super Lawyers list for the tenth year are firm Executive Vice President and Dallas Business Litigation shareholder Bruce W. Bowman Jr. and Houston Civil Litigation Defense shareholder Gwen E. Richard.
