Ventura Chapter of The Charitable Foundation to Host 2nd Annual Bingo Extravaganza to Benefit Loca

VENTURA, Calif. - Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Want to play bingo, bid on astounding auction items, and enjoy delicious food while helping your community? You can do it all on Oct. 10 when the Ventura chapter of The Charitable Foundation holds its second annual Bingo Extravaganza at Unitarian Universalist Church of Ventura. Proceeds will be distributed to local organizations that promote health, education, community, and the environment.

“Everyone in the community is invited to enjoy lively bingo action, a silent auction, and outstanding food for a great cause,” said Mark Ouchi, board chair of the real estate agent-run chapter, comprised of agents and staff from Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, a co-sponsor of the event.

“Last year was the launch for this event and it was a resounding success, with $2,000 each going to four deserving organizations,” said Lyle Elliot, Ventura office manager. “Funds raised helped provide clothing for schoolchildren, support services for seniors, social services for families, and recovery assistance for the disabled and homeless afflicted with mental illness. We hope to build on that success by providing even more funds to Ventura County charities and organizations.”

Participants can play six bingo games for $20 or 12 games for $30. Silent auction items that will contribute to the evening’s fundraising include:

• One hour airplane ride for four over Ventura and Channel Islands

• Harbor cruise with wine and hors d’oeuvres during the holidays on a 42-foot boat

• Harbor cruise with wine and hors d’oeuvres during the holidays on a 30-foot boat

• New beach cruiser bicycle

In addition to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Bingo Extravaganza sponsors include RedBrick Pizza Café, National Property Inspections, and Open Air Bicycles.
