NASCAR Driver Hears from God, Hits #1 on Amazon

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Robert Bakke was running a multi-million dollar company by the age of 24. He went on to become a jet captain, a black belt and a NASCAR driver. But there’s one thing Bakke isn’t, and that is religious. “I thought I was hearing things,” says Bakke, “But it was unmistakable. I was being told to write a book about prayer, and I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t feel qualified, and I sure didn’t want to invest the time.”

Bakke went on to invest 25-months of time and thousands of dollars to self-publish and then self-promote the book. “My friends all thought I was crazy,” says Bakke, “but I truly believed I was doing what I was being told to do, including the investment of the money. Today, those friends who thought I was crazy are now in awe…as am I.” The book, entitled “Prayer at Full Throttle: How Performance-Based Prayer Makes Miracles Happen” rocketed into Amazon Best-Seller status, hitting #1 in Amazon’s “Miracles & Spirituality” category, a miracle of its own for a self-published book.

According to Bakke, God is not a “religion” but is instead a “power source,” and a power source that is available to everyone. “I get it now,” says Bakke, “Look at David & Goliath. When you read the story for yourself you learn that ‘God’ actually killed Goliath, but he did working ‘through’ David. God works through people, and if he’ll work through me, he’ll work through you, and that’s the power that will put America and success back on the radar.”

Prayer at Full Throttle is available at in paperback and e-book.  Signed paperbacks at are available as well.

Bakke is available for interviews and speaking engagements
