Launch Announcement: New startup aims to be the TripAdvisor of online gaming

Sept. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- London, UK – September, 2015: Launch of FindGamingBuddies.com (http://www.findgamingbuddies.com/), a free website that connects gamers with other members of the site to play their favourite online games with - then lets them rate and review their gaming partner based on their gaming experience with them.

"We're two gamers who got tired of the disrespect, abuse and generally immature behaviour from other players online," commented Lee, one of the two founders of the site. "We wanted a way to find other gamers to play with who were serious about their co-op gaming and also avoid the all the trolling and flakiness you normally have to deal with. We looked, but we couldn't find anywhere that really did that - so we started one ourselves!"

The site's premise is simple: players create a free profile on the site that helps other members find them. They list their platforms and games they're currently playing, age range, country, and especially level of expertise, so that people can find a good match for what they’re looking for. Once they've found a player, they can message them via the site without having to share any personal contact details.

"What makes FindGamingBuddies unique is that players can leave ratings and reviews of other players they've played with. That means that dedicated and team-focused players are naturally rewarded, so we can promote a really positive community interaction." Said Karl, the site's second founder. "We also took the decision to make the site for over eighteens only, as a lot of the games are for mature audiences and we want to protect younger players." He added.

The story so far: The site launched in July 2015 and has gained over a hundred and twenty members and counting just through social media and word of mouth recommendation. The feedback from early adopters has been highly positive, and the site creators have been working hard to improve the site based on a wide range of feedback and suggestions.
