“After my wife joined Palm Coast and The Beaches Real Estate in January, she encouraged me to obtain my real estate license,” said Peter. “Now I hope to assist other police and fire department personnel in finding a home in Flagler County when they are ready to move down,” he added.
Peter was born and raised on Long Island. He attended and received his Degree in Business from the State University at Farmingdale, New York. Upon his graduation from college he joined an advertising agency selling television commercial spots in areas of Boston and St. Louis. Peter realized he loved the field of selling but couldn’t help the desire to become a New York City police officer. In 1988, he was sworn in to the police force and began patrolling the streets of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. In 1993 Peter transferred to work in the Bronx where he was appointed to the Narcotics Division. In 1996 he was promoted to Detective Investigator. Peter continued in the Bronx narcotics unit until his retirement in 2010.
Peter found Palm Coast by spending winter vacations here. Like many northerners, he didn’t like the snow. The Flagler County school system and low crime of Flagler County drew him to this area and they moved here in 2014. Peter decided to go back to his sales roots when he chose to enter into the real estate market and help people fulfill their dreams of home ownership. Peter received his real estate license and joined the team at Palm Coast and the Beaches Real Estate where his wife of 13 years, Kathleen, had been working as a realtor. They decided to become the "Dynamic Duo" at Palm Coast and The Beaches Real Estate.
Peter is involved with AMVETS, Florida chapter of the Blue Knights motorcycle club, Fraternal Order of Police and Habitat for Humanity. Peter and his family became members of the STEP and PAX programs for hosting exchange students from other countries as well. Peter and his wife Kathy are also co-owners of Finnegan’s Black Cloud Saloon. The establishment re-opened last month hosting a ribbon cutting with the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce. Peter lives in Palm Coast with his wife and two children.
