Ground Breaking for Purple Heart Veteran’s mortgage free home

JACKSON, Wis. - Sept. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Jackson, Wis. (Sept. 4, 2015) – National nonprofit organization Operation FINALLY HOME will join representatives from local Wisconsin builders Belman Homes and Tim O’Brien Homes along with land developer Neumann Companies, and task force members from the Metropolitan Builders Association, Renewal by Andersen and Landmark Engineering on Tuesday morning to break ground on 2 new homes which one will go to U.S. Army Sgt. Drew Wroblewski and his wife Katelyn.

Wroblewski is one of two recipients receiving a home for the 2015 BCMC Build, an annual charitable construction project for deserving families.

WHO:          U.S. Army Sgt. Drew Wroblewski and his wife will be breaking ground on there new mortgage free home. Wroblewski enlisted in the U.S. Army as an Infantryman on Easter Sunday, March 28, 2005. During his time in service, Wroblewski served on a deployment to Iraq in September 2005. On November 29, 2005, while in the gunner position providing rear security during a combat patrol, the vehicle Wroblewski was in came around a corner and suddenly was engulfed in flames from a shaped charge explosion. As a result of this incident as well as encountering hundreds of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and countless high stress situations while in service, Wroblewski suffers from post-traumatic migraines and tension, Tinnitus, Cranial Nerve Impingement and more. He medically retired from the Army on November 27, 2008, with a number of accolades, including a Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, and many more. In May 2013, Wroblewski graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He and his wife, Katelyn, now live in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where they recently moved to pursue a career with his current employer, Gavin de Becker & Associates.
