Gypsy Nester Veronica James, Jennet Robinson Alterman, & Sharon Becker To Speak at Women's Salon in Charleston Oct. 3
Women At Woodstock, producer of the annual Women At Woodstock national gathering for women over 50, and Sharon Becker, LISW, ACSW, a frequent leader of groups and workshops for women focusing on life transitions, are hosting a Women’s Salon on Saturday, October 3 at the Charleston Harbor Resort in Charleston, South Carolina, featuring Veronica James, Sharon Becker, and Jennet Robinson Alterman discussing life’s transitions, self-direction, choosing to be happy, and not being "Wonder Woman."
Veronica James, aka the Gypsy Nester, travels the world full time with her husband David. A few years ago they packed up their home, put their essentials into storage, and started their unlikely, exciting, sometimes challenging and often hilarious journey with an open mind and an open-ended agenda right after they sent their last child off to college. The two have quite a following online (32,000 Twitter followers and 8,000 Facebook fans!), and have just published a best-selling book, Going Gypsy. Veronica will be conducting a workshop at the upcoming Women At Woodstock gathering November 6-8, 2015.
Sharon Becker, LISW, ACSW, is in private practice and has over thirty years' experience in counseling, working with individuals, couples, and families. In addition, she leads groups and workshops for women focusing on life transitions, grief and loss, and recreating yourself in the second half of life. Says Sharon, “My interest in working with women dealing with life transitions grew from my own experiences creating a home business in my late 30’s while my children were young. I spent the next fifteen years as an entrepreneur and artist specializing in children’s hand painted furniture and gifts and wrote a children’s book on kindness. My return to private practice began another life stage transition. My own journey of “reinvention”
