Larry Fruth II, PhD, Executive Director/CEO of the A4L Community commented “We have been working hard listening to the needs of our membership and the entire educational marketplace, and I am thrilled with the collaborative end result. The ‘new look and easy to use’ SIF Specification documentation now provides application developers with easy-to-understand information with multiple download options in which they can create their interoperable software faster and easier. For the end-users, the new documentation makes it much easier to pull requirements documentation together, understand and create mappings and even dip their toe in the ‘development’ John Lovell, Senior Systems Developer, A4L Community added “The A4L Community is working to ‘up’ its quality game, not just with better specifications and more meaningful certifications, but with better documentation. Our hope is that we can: empower the programmers to better understand what is being ask of them, give the integrator tools to more readily deliver working solutions, and give the end user the best possible start to communicate requirements.” The SIF Implementation Data Model Specification (North America) 3.3 is immediately available from the A4L Community website here: http://specification.sifassociation.org/ About the Access 4 Learning Community There is no other global community made up of educational policymakers, marketplace product and service providers and the customers they serve, collaborating daily to address real word learning information and resource issues.
