The Access 4 Learning Community publish enhancements to empower the education marketplace

With the Access 4 Learning (A4L) Community’s new focus on data usage beyond just data management, the Community is delighted to publish an enriched, user-friendly version of the SIF Implementation Data Model Specification (North America) 3.3.

WASHINGTON - Sept. 1, 2015 - PRLog -- In this latest web-based SIF Specification release, you will find:

•  A streamlined comprehensible layout, providing object collections alongside supporting documentation

•  Enriched references to background information, providing a complete overview of the SIF Specification and all related documentation

•  Links to SIF xPress API documentation and locale defined Service Paths

•  Downloadable Object Collections – all object information, including ready to access object documentation, tree, tables, and XML structures all now available in various downloadable formats.

Larry Fruth II, PhD, Executive Director/CEO of the A4L Community commented “We have been working hard listening to the needs of our membership and the entire educational marketplace, and I am thrilled with the collaborative end result.  The ‘new look and easy to use’ SIF Specification documentation now provides application developers with easy-to-understand information with multiple download options in which they can create their interoperable software faster and easier.  For the end-users, the new documentation makes it much easier to pull requirements documentation together, understand and create mappings and even dip their toe in the ‘development’ water with the new SIF xPress API functionality”.  He added “With the new collaboration tools and revised focus for the A4L Community to empower data usage not just data management, I am confident of even more great things to come in the near future to continue to enable data utilization to impact learning - SIF has never been easier to use!”

John Lovell, Senior Systems Developer, A4L Community added “The A4L Community is working to ‘up’ its quality game, not just with better specifications and more meaningful certifications, but with better documentation. Our hope is that we can: empower the programmers to better understand what is being ask of them, give the integrator tools to more readily deliver working solutions, and give the end user the best possible start to communicate requirements.”
