Golden Girls Camp For Women 40+ years of age

SPRING GROVE, Ill. - Aug. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Meadowsweet Ranch has added a special camp to their calendar this year.  On September 19 and 20, 2015 the entire weekend will be devoted to sharing the magical world of horses with women 40+ years of age.   It will be a weekend full of education and fun, which will include groundwork to help keep the horse's body healthy and sound for the long term.  Exercises for the women to keep them in the saddle for the long term as well as tips on their own personal long term health; a 5 minute chair massage and discussion on how both equine and human massage plays a part in long term health.  Participants will also learn how to do a lymphatic massage on the horse they are working with during this weekend and why this type of massage promotes long term health in the horse.

Kathy Boettcher, Owner and Riding Instructor of Meadowsweet Ranch and Trish Rogatzki, an active member of WDCTA and former Connected Riding Practitioner in training, have a weekend planned that will bring back memories of childhood camp days, or fulfill the dream of going to camp.  There will be craft time, social time, shared meals, bonding time with humans as well as horses, and of course, riding time.

Participants can bring their own horse to camp, or can use a Meadowsweet Ranch lesson horse for the weekend.

Participants can bring a tent and gear to camp out on the ranch, cot and bedding to camp out in the arena or club room, stay at a local hotel, or go home and sleep in your own bed and then come on back on Sunday morning for another full day.
