"Homage" - Short Stories Are a Literary ‘Homage’ From a World Traveler

SCARBOROUGH, Ontario - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Terence Roberts’ debut short story collection Homage is a must-read. The author grew up during the exciting 1950/60 decades of cosmopolitan modern culture in British Guiana’s capital of Georgetown.

This collection of 10 unique stories enriches the literary genre by focusing on memory; the relationship of the writer’s moment of writing and the events communicated; the conception and misconceptions possible between persons of different ancestry, race, nationality, city, lifestyle, profession and gender; the effect of changing trends in the arts on the lifestyles of societies, cities, and generations; and the personal and specific influence of films, art, music, and literature on the diverse characters within the stories. The tales travel from Toronto, New York, Caracas, and Georgetown, to Guyana’s border regions, where bold young women and men encounter each other in sensual and intelligent experiences.

Apart from their suggestive autobiographical and fictional data, some of these startling and often hilarious stories are exercises in the possibilities of contemporary fiction. This all adds up to make Homage an exciting read in both content and style.

“This stunning literary collection presents a fascinating read and we are thrilled to announce its release,” said Robert Fletcher, CEO of Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency.
