Former Peruvian Public Official Follows Her Passion for Designing Jewelry

OAKTON, Va. - Aug. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- Peruvian artisan and designer Rosario Julca was born and grew up in the northern coastal city of Chiclayo, Peru. A former college professor with an MBA, for many years Julca was a public official of SUNAT; the Peruvian Tax Administration Bureau. However her passion for fashion and design pushed her to make a life changing decision; quite her public service life to design jewelry.

Despite having career advancement within SUNAT, after 14 years Rosario decided to re-evaluate her life plan. Working for SUNAT allowed her to learn and grow personally and professionally. But she realized it wasn’t enough. She had a desire, a dream that was stronger than ever.

Julca’s dream was about creating a jewelry line that adds value to Peruvian traditional elements and helps the community by offering quality jobs and opportunities for its people. With those concepts in mind, Rosario started designing pieces combining sterling silver, natural stones, shells, cotton, and others traditional elements in an innovative, bold, versatile, and refined way.  Her inspiration mostly comes from the Moche Culture. Julca uses shapes, colors and concepts of the Moche iconography, like the Muchic waves.
