PRLog -- New Lebanon, New York, USA, – FairTSA, an innovative global Fair Trade standard holder, announces completion of a formal licensing agreement with Berief Feinkost, based in Beckum, Germany. Since its founding more than 30 years ago, Berief Feinkost has evolved from an experienced tofu maker into a nutrition specialist for high-end cutting-edge soy products. The range of products encompasses more than 35 organic, non GMO tofu and soy products: from bread spreads to vegetable-based alternatives to meat and sausage up to organic drinks based on soy, grains and almonds.
As an owner-operated enterprise in sole proprietorship, there are no corporate structures to comply with. Their decision-making processes are short, and are made by their employees, currently numbering 120. Most are long-time associates and follow a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle themselves. All stages of the work process such as product development, purchasing, production, bottling, packaging, shipping, quality control and sales are performed at their facility in Beckum, North-Rhine Westphalia.
The staff are always up-to-date in their area of responsibility, because they continually attend internal training courses and external seminars, where they gather information, and in turn implement in their respective department.
“We are very pleased to be working with a company like Berief Feinkost, supporting their mission of providing the highest quality organic and natural food ingredients, in an ethical, moral and sustainable fashion, free of the corporate structure” said Dr. Winfried Fuchshofen, FairTSA Executive Director. “Their commitment to healthy living and worker welfare is a great fit for our business model.”
