Carrier One Approved as a SmartWay Carrier

CHICAGO - Aug. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Carrier One Approved as a SmartWay Carrier

On August 19, 2015 Carrier One, located in Alsip, IL, was approved by the EPA as a SmartWay Carrier.  Carrier One sought this approval to demonstrate its commitment to improving the environment through improved utilization of its equipment.

SmartWay is a joint public and private initiative that seeks to reduce emissions and pollution created by freight transportation. SmartWay does this by helping carriers improve efficiencies and create benchmarks to improve their operations. SmartWay aims to accelerate the availability, adoption and market penetration of advanced fuel efficient technologies and operational practices in the freight supply chain.

Carrier One President, Ivan Samarov, sees this partnership with SmartWay as an important step for Carrier One because of both parties’ desire to be good stewards of the environment.  Ivan also believes that SmartWay will help improve the efficiencies of Carrier One which in turn will lead to better service to its customers.
