BattleFrog® Announces U.S. West Coast & Canadian Expansion

MIAMI - Aug. 21, 2015 - PRLog -- The BattleFrog Obstacle Race Series is expanding throughout North America.  The popular race series announced a coast-to-coast U.S. race schedule today and additionally announced three major events in Canadian destinations.   BattleFrog’s 2016 race series will make a total of forty-four stops in major markets throughout North America, including its first stops on the West Coast and in Canada.

“The response to our races and lifestyle has been overwhelming,” said BattleFrog CEO Ramiro Ortiz.  “Customers have been enjoying our races, they have seen the BattleFrog College Championship on ESPN and have been clamoring for more locations.  We are thrilled that athletes and families throughout all of North America can experience our races.  BattleFrog, you gotta live it.^™”

The new schedule is welcome news to members of the Obstacle Course Racing (OCR) community.  Dave Huckle, the founder of the well-regarded Weeple Army, was enthusiastic upon previewing the scheduled races, stating: “four California destinations is big news!  Our 4,000-plus members are thrilled to welcome BattleFrog to the Golden State.  We can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.”

The announcement that BattleFrog was expanding to Canada was also exciting news to BattleFrog’s Canadian Pro Team members Ryan Atkins and Marco Bedard.  They learned of the new stops after finishing first and second last weekend at BattleFrog’s Pittsburgh race, commenting: “Canada is going to love BattleFrog.  These races are the perfect reason to come and experience the wonderful Canadian outdoors."  Mr. Atkins is widely regarded as the top competitive athlete in Obstacle Course racing; Mr. Bedard is a champion biathlete and was a member of Team Canada for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
