By: Operation Lost and Found This is a family friendly event that will take place from 1pm to 7pm. There will be rescue dogs on site the day of the event for veterans to meet and greet. Jim Stanek, the star of A&E's TV show, Dog's of War, will be flying in from New Mexico. He is participating in this event to raise awareness to help meet the demand for service dogs for veterans, like him, who suffer from PTSD. The goal for this event is to raise awareness to the staggering number of veterans who suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and the benefits a service dog can make on their lives. OLF has teamed up with Dog T.A.G.S. Program which is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization. Their mission is to train, assist, guide and serve veterans who have been diagnosed by the Veteran’s Affairs (VA) with PTSD through the operation of a Service Dog Program. All profits from this event will go to Dog T.A.G.S. to cover the costs of training the veterans and the service dogs. For additional information or to donate call Les at 610-882-1710.
