BLACKWOOD, N.J. - Aug. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Protocol Security Partners, a security and investigative service with offices in Blackwood, N.J., announces a new partner and CEO, as the company expands its core business and its founder and former CEO recuses himself for a new role with the Delaware River Port Authority.

Dave Gentile, who spent 24 years as an FBI agent in Philadelphia, will step down from day-to-day operations of the company and will serve as an unpaid advisor only.  In July, 2015, Gentile was named Inspector General for DRPA.

Richard Zappile of Philadelphia joins Protocol Security Partners as a partner. Zappile served as chief of police and director of Public Safety for the Philadelphia Housing Authority until he retired in 2012.  Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia under Ed Rendell, Zappile spearheaded criminal justice programs, gun violence initiatives and the mayor’s drug control policy. He also served as Deputy Police Commissioner and Chief of Detectives for the Philadelphia Police Department.  Currently, he is an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Strayer University.

The company also named Radek Lacomy the new CEO.  Lakomy, of Mount Laurel, N.J., has an extensive background analyzing, designing, and implementing security structures and tactics for commercial organizations.  A former member of both Czech and Israeli Special Forces, Lakomy served as a consultant and in anti-terror roles for the Czech Republic and Israel’s International Counter-Terror Institute.

Both moves are in line with Protocol Security Partners’ tradition of exclusively employing retired law enforcement officers and investigators.  Its subcontractors are also all former law enforcement professionals.

The executive appointments come as Protocol Security Partners expands its scope of services.  The company recently partnered with two companies offering armed and unarmed security guard services, one of which is a certified minority-owned agency. It has also aligned with a company specializing in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, to help clients steel themselves against cyber attacks.  These services will complement Protocol’s existing criminal and civil investigation, litigation support, insurance fraud and medical malpractice defense, law enforcement training and “Employee Integrity Investigations.”

Gentile founded Protocol Security Partners in 2011.  Prior to joining the DRPA, he served for 18 months as Chief Compliance Officer for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Authority, and an additional nine months as a consultant to the Authority.  He is also a former director of Operations for the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and was vice-president of Administration for the Cordish Gaming Group based in Baltimore, Md.
