New Publication from PSYCRETS : British Society of Mystery Entertainers

LONDON - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- PSYCRECY 1 is a hardback, 320 page mysterium of essays, effects and routines taken from the first volume issues of The British Society of Mystery Entertainers quarterly printed membership digest. It further  features some previously unpublished and revised bonus material from members and friends of the Society. It includes 38 contributions from some of the most creative minds in the field of mentalism, bizarre and psychic  entertainment today.

Publishing Editor, Steve Drury said " It is with a great deal of pride that I offer this mysterium of effects and essays to the mystery performance community. The book comprises of both, contributions selected from three of the quarterly issues that comprise Volume 1 of PSYCRECY, (the membership digest for PSYCRETS British Society of Mystery Entertainers), plus some newer and esteemed material from current members and cohorts of our community, submitted especially for this project.

In November 2014, I began publishing the PSYCRECY Digest as an inclusive benefit for our international membership. Whilst we are known as the British Society of Mystery Entertainers, we are in-fact proud to assert a representative member in every continent. The aim of the Digest was to regularly collate and circulate member’s material, further including invitee contributions; creating a mystery entertainment digest with values of those that had gone before it.

I knew that not only did I stand upon the shoulders of giants in introducing such a publication, but was also going against the grain in producing something in print. My optimism however was not unfounded; in the face of rapid technological advancements and inevitable piracy, it seems that there are still many who are prepared to share their creativity and insight without any ulterior motive other than in betterment of our mystery performance community. Invariably, this book would never have happened without each contributors’ experiences, and then their subsequent patience in putting fingers to keyboard or touchscreen, and documenting their creativity.  For their benevolence, I sincerely thank them".
