SEATTLE - Aug. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Last month, a series of leaked videos showed Planned Parenthood's Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, detailing the process the group uses for collecting and selling organs from aborted fetuses. The sting videos have triggered massive outrage and revulsion across the political spectrum.

The calls for defunding Planned Parenthood got so loud that Cecile Richards, the group's President, wrote an Op-Ed in the Washington Post deflecting blame. While apologizing for the tone of the video, she insisted that the sting videos were really an "attack on women."

Nonsense, says Megan Haney, an organizer for Saturday's rally. "We are specifically protesting Planned Parenthood because the Federal Government subsidizes their abortion services. These videos have only exposed the callousness in how they see abortion. Contrary to what Ms. Richards says, we are not protesting the general health care services they provide to women. If that were the case, we'd be protesting EVERY community health center in Seattle."

The demonstrators will be gathering at Planned Parenthood's Capitol Hill location at 2001 E. Madison Street from 10 -11am this Saturday, Aug 22, 2015. The event is part of a larger one-day National Day of Protest taking place nationwide, co-sponsored by more than 50 organizations.

"While this is a very dark issue, it is not entirely without joy," said Mrs. Haney. "On Saturday we will be singing, dancing, and celebrating life. One group, Stop Patriarchy, whose mantra is "abortion on demand, without apology" has already vowed to counter protest our event. We are more than happy to welcome them with one caveat: taunts and jeers are for amateurs."
