NEW ORLEANS - Aug. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- New Orleans author, K. M. McFarland, has released Vampyr: The Complete Trilogy in paperback. The new release includes all three of her novels: Song of the Vampire, Under A Bourbon Street Moon and Masquerade.

Using the New Orleans French Quarter and Uptown Garden District as a backdrop, the intriguing tale follows former successful rock star Quinn Forrester and his daughter, Nadia, the baby he was forced to abandon on that fateful night he was turned into a vampire. Eighteen years later, Quinn and Nadia reconnect and bond, but Nadia’s fate is sealed. Saved by Quinn’s blood, they guide each other through the dark world they have become a part of as events unfold and new characters are introduced. McFarland takes you on a journey inside the mind, heart and soul of the vampire and presents them as genuine beings as opposed to the monsters in which humanity perceives them.

McFarland has always wanted to write a vampire novel not woven with every other element of the supernatural. Even though Vampyr: The Complete Trilogyis laced with ghosts, voodoo, and black magic, its main focus is vampires. What began as an item on a bucket list that would be scratched off when the first novel completed turned into a writing project that spun into three published novels with a fourth installment in progress.
