In 2012, the American Society for Preventive Cardiology began this tradition with their first annual ASPC Southeastern Conference: Cardiovascular Prevention for Women, partnering with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Over the past four years this conference has grown to host more than 275 attendees, from 30 U.S. States, six countries, and multiple medical disciplines. While the overall focus of the 2015 conference extended to include a wider range of topics, the ASPC continued its commitment to prevention of cardiovascular disease in women through their partnership with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. ASPC also continues to partner with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, educating local healthcare professionals on the recent advancements in the field of preventive cardiology. The partnership with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the Boca Raton Community and ASPC will continue in 2016 with their 5th Annual Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference. Dr. Seth J. Baum, MD, president-elect of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology and co-chair of the conference stated, “I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I, as my ASPC colleagues, am grateful to all our sponsors, exhibitors, and mostly our attendees. See you next summer in Boca Raton, Florida!” About the American Society for Preventive Cardiology The American Society for Preventive Cardiology is the leading multidisciplinary organization focused on the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
