American Society for Preventive Cardiology Hosts 4th Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Recently the American Society for Preventive Cardiology (ASPC) held their 4th Annual Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. The 30-year-old organization, boasting over 400 members, is the leading organization in the prevention of cardiovascular disease. More than 275 attendees at the 2015 conference, representing diverse medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, and basic science disciplines, enjoyed clinically relevant lectures delivered by many of America’s most influential medical thought leaders. Experts in imaging, genetics, diabetes, lipids, biomarkers, heart failure, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, nutrition, metabolism, peripheral artery disease, and more delivered riveting talks to a captivated audience.

In 2012, the American Society for Preventive Cardiology began this tradition with their first annual ASPC Southeastern Conference: Cardiovascular Prevention for Women, partnering with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Over the past four years this conference has grown to host more than 275 attendees, from 30 U.S. States, six countries, and multiple medical disciplines.

While the overall focus of the 2015 conference extended to include a wider range of topics, the ASPC continued its commitment to prevention of cardiovascular disease in women through their partnership with WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease. ASPC also continues to partner with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, educating local healthcare professionals on the recent advancements in the field of preventive cardiology.

The partnership with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital, the Boca Raton Community and ASPC will continue in 2016 with their 5th Annual Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Conference. Dr. Seth J.
