Independence Day Celebration at Sterlite Copper & Vicinity

THOOTHUKKUDI, India - Aug. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Sterlite Copper celebrated the 69^th Independence Day with patriotic fervor in their premises on 15.08.2015.

Mr Pankaj Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Sterlite Copper hoisted the national flag. Our security personnel put up a splendid ceremonial parade.

While delivering his address, Mr Pankaj Kumar made a special mention about the altruistic sacrifices of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the Independence of our country and asked us reminisce their selfless devotion to mother India. He also presented prizes to the security officers and fire service personnel for their outstanding commitment to duty. Sterlite Copper Officials Mr D Dhanavel, Head Commercial, Dr R Kailasam, Chief Medical officer & Head CSR, Mr KR Anup, Manager - Security, Security Team and Employees were also present during the occasion.

As part of our stakeholder engagement, Sterlite Copper took part in the Independence Day Celebrations in our vicinity. Mr R Selvasankar, General Manager - Projects, Sterlite Copper hoisted the National Flag in RC Primary School, Saveriarpuram, St. Xavier High School, Saveriarpuram and Karapettai Nadar Higher Secondary School, Thoothukudi today.

Delivering the special guest address, Mr R Selvasankar motivated the students to aspire high for achieving former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam’s India Vision 2020 and also highlighted various educational initiatives undertaken by Sterlite Copper in and around Thoothukudi.
