Magnolias of Chambersburg to hold charity car wash

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Aug. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- The Magnolias of Chambersburg senior living community will provide area motorists an opportunity to have a clean car and contribute to a great cause on Wednesday, August 19.

     Magnolias of Chambersburg team members will hold a charity car wash from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the senior community located at 745 Norland Avenue in Chambersburg. Senior residents will offer drivers a bagged lunch for a small donation.

    All proceeds raised will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association in conjunction with the upcoming 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

    Once again, the Magnolias of Chambersburg team will participate in the Adams/Franklin County Walk to End Alzheimer’s on October 3 at Caledonia State Park in Fayetteville.

    “The car wash is a fun event for our team and our residents, and it’s a great fundraiser for such an important cause,” said Melissa Buksa, Activities Coordinator at Magnolias of Chambersburg. “This is our third year of holding the car wash, and the first two years were very successful.”

    Buksa said Magnolias of Chambersburg raised more than $200 for the Alzheimer’s Association in each of the previous two car washes.
