Author Sharon E. Cathcart's second novel, "In The Eye of The Storm," received the Silver Medal in the 2015 Global eBook Awards
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Aug. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Author Sharon E. Cathcart has received a silver medal in the 2015 Global eBook Awards.

Cathcart's second novel, In The Eye of The Storm: A Novel of the Phantom of the Opera, earned the accolade in the Fiction - Fan category.

The tale begins in 1948 San Francisco, when a mysterious stranger approaches Clarice Kaye in her favorite restaurant. His words trigger a voyage of discovery:  “You look just like your grandmother, but you have your mother’s eyes.”

There was only one question in Clarice’s mind:  how could he know?

Armed with family diaries that tell of the scandalous grandmother for whom she was named, Clarice embarks on a journey through Paris’ modern art movement, 1906 San Francisco, and the depths of the Opéra Garnier in the sequel to Cathcart's debut novel, “In The Eye of The Beholder.”

"I am honored to have been recognized by the staff and judges at the Global eBook Awards," Cathcart stated.  "This prestigious award will hold a place of honor for me."

Cathcart was previously been named runner-up Best Short Fiction Collection in the 2014 eFestival of Words Independent Book Awards for "Through the Opera Glass."
