ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Sept. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- In 1915, George Eastman founded CGR with a vision of driving positive change for Rochester and a charge to “get things done for the community.” Today, 100 years later, his imagination and prescience remains at the heart of CGR’s work with nonprofits, foundations, community organizations and governments.

As we continue to steward Eastman’s monumental gift to our community, we are reminded how a single idea can change a community for generations. The impact of CGR’s work over the past century has touched all corners of our community: From school quality and economic competitiveness, to nonprofit sustainability and public service effectiveness. Above all, our passion has been about making a great community even greater through better, data-driven decisions and an engaged, informed public.

Friends, staff, trustees, and community partners will gather on Thursday, October 29, 2015 to honor Eastman’s vision and recognize CGR’s Centennial Celebration at the most appropriate of venues: George Eastman House in Rochester, NY.
