Sales Education Foundation Hosts 8th Annual Faculty Certification

Program provides tools for aligning university sales students with professional selling roles

DAYTON, Ohio - Aug. 13, 2015 - PRLog -- The Sales Education Foundation (SEF) hosted their 8th annual Faculty Certification Program in Dayton, Ohio recently.  This academic workshop provides Sales educators with tools to use in their curriculum.  Once certified, faculty have preferred access to SEF’s Career Development Program which focuses on career guidance for sales students.  As the benefit of a university sales education receives more recognition from the business community at large, many sales programs report 100% job placement for their graduates; almost double that of the overall graduating population.

Representatives from schools including University of Dayton, North Carolina A&T State University, Louisiana State University, Ohio University, Ball State University, Central Michigan University, University of Central Florida and University of Cincinnati attended the program, joining the ranks of over 65 schools that have provided students with SEF’s job selection tools.  One participant said, “The SEF workshop has provided me with a variety of resources to implement into my sales classes as I help my students through the ‘what do I want to do with the rest of my life?’ struggle.”

Through a partnership with Chally Group, a GrowthPlay Company, SEF is able to provide university sales students with access to individual assessment results.  Nearly 11,000 students have completed the assessment and received valuable feedback assisting with future sales career alignment.

The growth of university professional sales programs continues at an accelerated pace.  In the SEF’s 2015 Annual magazine, featuring the “Top Universities for Professional Selling” listing, 105 universities worldwide were featured, up from 94 in 2014 and 75 in 2013. These programs are recognized for their preparation of top candidates and attention to relevant sales research. Students from these programs are invited to participate in the Career Development Program.
