The Atlanta RICE Awards Kicks Off Its Fifth Season Announces Nominees & Celebrity Participants

Aug. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- On Monday August 3, 2015 the Rising in Community Excellence Awards (RICE Awards) released the official nominee list for the 2015 season. The RICE Awards was created five years ago by C. Chandon Carter; Philanthropist, Entrepreneur, Certified Relationship Expert, and Media Personality. In 2011, Carter created The Rising Star Award, which was given out annually at The Gospel Choice Awards of Atlanta. In 2013 Carter to created his award show as a stand alone celebration.

This award, now known as The RICE Awards is a celebration of those individuals who work tirelessly to improve lives throughout greater Atlanta. The Rising in Community Excellence Award is given to individuals who demonstrate keen awareness about community needs and step into the fray, lending a hand and making things better. These citizens have created organizations that serve metro Atlanta.

RICE Award nominees are innovative and charitable visionaries who recognize the importance of their presence and contribution to the greater Atlanta community and beyond. Nominees were selected by a panel of industry professionals, community leaders and everyday citizens. Each category is about a community leader who has used their position to develop or implement programs that have changed the face of our communities and helped people in innumerable ways. The Carter Unlimited mission for The RICE Awards is simple. "We honor the unsung heroes of our community."
