Aerius International Inc. and the Village of Cambridge, New York Agree to Implement Smart City

ALBANY, N.Y. - Aug. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Aerius International Inc. and the Village of Cambridge, New York Agree to a Public Private Partnership to implement Smart City Initiative

Aerius International, Inc. (“Aerius”) (OTCPink: AERS), a wireless product provider, and the Village of Cambridge located in the Hudson Valley Region of New York, has entered into a Public Private Partnership with Mayor Carman Bogle to deploy a Smart City project. Under this initiative Drumm Wireless Communications LLC, an internet service provider, will build a mobile wireless network covering a 50 square mile area using infrastructure provided by Hudson Valley Wireless. The network will be accessible to residents, businesses and public safety personnel throughout the Cambridge Valley using Aerius products (smartphones, tablets, IoT).

Smart Cities have become a very important topic in recent years.  There are many different elements to a smart city deployment of which one of the most important is broadband wireless connectivity. This service will attract more businesses into the Cambridge Valley community, increase tourism, enhance education and enable a host of new public services, and support internal city operations.

Mayor Bogle stated, “We are excited that as part of the Smart City Initiative, the underserved population of our community will finally have access to high speed internet. Broadband is crucial for increased health, educational and economic opportunities, as well as for job and business creation and growth. Broadband can help close the digital divide between rural and urban communities.”
