Miller Homes Yorkshire Announces Sporting Star as Judge of Summer of Sport Competition

Aug. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- A popular sports competition that takes place each summer and is held by leading housebuilder Miller Homes has just announced the judge for this year.

Leigh Bromby, 35, coach of Huddersfield Town and retired footballer who has amassed 380 appearances spanning 2 decades for Sheffield Wednesday, Watford, Sheffield Wednesday and latterly Leeds United will judge the applications in the fourth Summer of Sport’ competition which sees an amateur sports club from the region receive up to £1,000 in prize money.

“I am delighted to be involved in this very worthwhile competition which recognizes just how many community and amateur sports clubs there are in Yorkshire,” commented Leigh. “It’s a great opportunity for any club, whether they are for children or adults and in a variety of sporting disciplines to raise awareness of the work they do and be in with a chance of winning the prize.”

Previous winners have seen a Leeds canoe club and a Doncaster cycling club scoop the money which has helped provide equipment and training and given more opportunities to members of the community to experience these sports.
