Fairfax, Virginia- Marian Homes Inc., a non-profit corporation established to purchase and maintain group homes for persons with intellectual disabilities announces that we will be seeking our fourth group home for those with intellectual disabilities. Marian Homes was able to locate, acquire, renovate and bring our third house on-line in record time and we have started the process to bring a fourth house on-line. On February 26, 2015, Marian Homes took possession of its third house located at 7609 Gresham Street, Springfield, Virginia. That same day volunteer members of Marian Homes started the demolition required to make the house ready for its renovations by the contractor. On March 7, 2015, the contractor Envision began efforts to renovate the house and finished ahead of schedule. In early June residents began moving into the house. The Board of Directors held a Grand Opening on June 25th and was challenged by Father James Barkett, Pastor of St. Mary of Sorrow's Church to see if we might bring the next home on-line even faster. Recently, Marian Homes has found a suitable house that we feel would make a great fourth house.
